October 24 Saturday: Bisbee Farmer’s Market, Vista Park in the Warren District, behind the rose garden and restrooms, 9 AM to 1 PM
The BASA board held their pre-mill board meeting and we will be doing extra safety steps this year due to Covid-19.
Upon arrival, Sign In with your name, contact info and we will label and tag your containers.
The Hammermill and mesquite pod inspection areas will be roped off for our volunteers only. Tables for checking the pods will be spaced > 6 feet apart. Disposable gloves and Masks will be worn and the gloves changed between each person’s mesquite pods.
When orders are completed, the person will be contacted by phone or can check back in at the sign in table. Fees will be collected for milling at pickup. Our turnaround time will depend on our volume and number of volunteer workers.
Please check your mesquite pods before you come to the milling. Make sure they are clean, snap dry and free of tree debris, sticks, leaves, rocks. Any moldy pods will be disposed of as they are unsafe to consume.
As always for milling, humidity levels must be 30% or below. Dry weather is expected but if conditions change, the milling will be delayed.
Thanks for you participation and cooperation. See you soon
